Safety-First Engineering Methodology

Safety is not an add-on — it is engineered in from day one. DerMech Solution applies a systematic safety engineering process aligned with ISO 12100 and the Machinery Directive, ensuring that every mechanical, electrical, and software system meets the highest safety integrity requirements.

Our technical safety services include: hazard identification and risk assessment (ISO 12100), safety-related control system design (ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061), functional safety validation, safety component selection (light curtains, emergency stops, safety PLCs), CE marking technical file preparation, and conformity assessment support. We work with clients from concept through commissioning to ensure regulatory compliance and operational safety.

Every project delivers a complete safety dossier: risk assessment report, safety concept documentation, validation test records, and declaration of conformity — audit-ready for notified body review.

Consultation

Initial engagement to understand client requirements, constraints, and objectives. Site visits, stakeholder interviews, and feasibility assessment define the project scope and success criteria.

Site Investigation

Detailed on-site analysis of existing infrastructure, production flows, utility systems, and spatial constraints. 3D scanning, process mapping, and data collection create an accurate baseline for engineering decisions.

Engineering Analysis

Multi-disciplinary analysis: structural FEA, thermal simulation, motion dynamics, power calculations, and control system architecture. Risk assessment per ISO 12100 identifies hazards early. Trade-off studies optimize for performance, cost, and compliance.

Concept Design

Preliminary layout, system architecture, and component selection. 3D CAD modeling, schematic design, and BOM estimation. Design reviews with stakeholders ensure alignment. Documentation follows DIN technical drawing standards.

Simulation

Virtual validation through multi-physics simulation: kinematic/dynamic analysis, cycle time optimization, collision detection, PLC logic verification, and safety function testing. Digital twin reduces physical prototyping iterations by up to 70%.

Manufacturing Support
